Prestígio Bakery & Bistro

We loved Prestigio’s famous Portuguese custard tarts—also known as Pasteis de Nata. With an utterly rich and creamy middle and a perfectly crispy and flakey outer layer crust, these tarts also have bruleed tops (lightly torched on top for caramelization). Buttery. Delicious. Trust me when I say you’ll want more than one. More than two. Maybe get four just to be safe!

Fox Burger started in 2019 in Edmonton's historic Gibbard Block, the project of Executive Chef Sean O'Connor, a NAIT culinary grad who traded fine dining for smash burgers. That instinct paid off. The concept has since grown to three locations, and the Leduc spot has become one of downtown's five go-to burger destinations, according to the Leduc Downtown Business Association's own food guide.
The draw is the smash burger itself: thin, crisped-edge patties smashed hard on the flat top, then built into nine different burgers on the menu, from the classic Fox Cheeseburger to the Mushroom Swiss, the Blue Cheese Tomato, and the Animal Smash. The garlic fries get their own reputation in town, and the menu is celiac-friendly with knowledgeable staff who know how to keep a gluten-free order safe, not just labelled.
Fox Burger has built a loyal following fast. It holds a 4.5-star rating with 378 reviews on Restaurant Guru, matched by a 4.5 on Google, with reviewers calling out the flavour of the patties specifically along with a fast, friendly service experience. It's also earned enough local credibility to land a partnership spot at K-Days, which says something about how far the Leduc location's reputation has already travelled.
