Leduc Local Buzz

It's business feature day!

This week we're spotlighting two Leduc businesses that are all about making people smile: a family bakery with a Halloween menu that's almost too fun to eat, and a face painting crew already booking up for the holidays.

🧁 Happy Coo Bakery

A family-owned bakery trailer at the historic Leduc Grain Elevator

Happy Coo Bakery is a family-owned bakery that runs out of a trailer at its permanent spot at the Leduc Grain Elevator, in front of the fertilizer building, on the north end of the parking lot. Everything is homemade: cakes, pies, scones, muffins, cupcakes and cookies.

Their cinnamon buns come out Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, usually by 11:00 a.m., and they have a loyal Saturday-morning following.

🎃 Fright Night menu and special hours

The Grain Elevator hosts Fright Night Oct 29, 30 and 31, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Happy Coo will be right there with spooky baked treats, a "black magic potion" punch and hot chocolate for cold Halloween nights.
