🔦 Five Quick Safety Tips
Be seen. Add reflective tape or a glow stick, and carry a flashlight.
Face paint instead of masks, so kids can see clearly.
Walk in groups, and face traffic where there's no sidewalk.
Check the candy before anyone digs in.
Drivers, slow down. Kids will be out from late afternoon on Saturday.
REMINDER ABOUT THE FALL TIME CHANGE
⌚ Clocks will not go back this year!
No Time Change: Alberta has adopted permanent Alberta Time (UTC−6, formerly Mountain Daylight Time).
Effective Date: Beginning November 1, 2026, the province permanently stops the semi-annual "fall back" and "spring forward" clock changes.
What to Expect: Your devices, clocks, and watches will stay on the same time year-round, though you may want to double-check recurring online meetings or calendar events set with out-of-province contacts who still observe standard time.
